After building an excellent reputation on local, national and international fronts on social media after an appearance on Masterchef the Professional in 2015, Chris decided to set up a chef recruitment agency with a difference, providing a professional and friendly service based in the East Midlands, focusing on quality above all else. Chris lives and breathes food and is incredibly passionate about what he does and this shows in his approach to recruitment. Chris has spent 17 years in the catering industry, with positions ranging from Conference and Banqueting Management and Hotel Management to Executive Chef and Head Chef positions at some of the best hotels, restaurants and gastropubs in the Derbyshire area.

Although Chris is officially self taught, having never worked under another chef, He has had expert training from some of the best names in the business, from Head Pastry Chef at The Savoy to the chef who launched Thorntons. Chris has also held training days in molecular gastronomy and work experience at various top restaurants, right up to 3 rosettes and 1 Michelin star level. You can be safe in the knowledge that Chris knows the industry inside out and is excellent at what he does.

Chris is also a columnist for Taste the Seasons Magazine.

In his spare time, Chris loves nothing more than spending time with his fiancée Aimee and their 3 little boys, Tristan, Elliot and Fabian. Chris is also an avid gym goer and his last supper would be spaghetti bolognese!

AdenAden Fisher – Office Manager

Aden joined the team at Optimal Chef Services in late 2016 to aid and support Chris after a whirlwind few months since the business was set up. Aden works closely with the chefs and clients to find the perfect candidate for the job. Aden also looks after all aspects of the office, so if you call, it will most likely be aden you speak to first! A friendly and professional chap who is instantly likeable. Aden is relatively new to the hospitality industry but has worked extremely hard to gather the knowledge required to succeed. Previously Aden has held management positions in retail and The UK’s leading PVCu extrusion company.

Aden spends a lot of his time drinking coffee and is food wise is partial to a nice and spicy Mexican! In his spare time he like to spend time with his family and is a huge basketball fan!
